Linux Users

After the binary executable zip file downloads from the sloctl releases page, you will need to place the file in the appropriate system path.

  1. Extract the zip file containing sloctl using your file manager or unzip sloctl-linux-*.zip.
  2. Put sloctl in one of the locations that are in your $PATH - e.g. /usr/local/bin/ or ~/.local/bin. Open your terminal and run:
    sudo install -o root -g root -m 0755 ~/Downloads/sloctl /usr/local/bin/sloctl
  3. Finally, type sloctl to run the program.
